Let’s gear up for a life-changing second half

Some people may look at the calendar and think we’re halfway through the year. 

I like to think of it as gearing up for an exciting second half.

That’s because the action you take at any given moment can change your destiny.

Do you feel like what you’re doing right now isn’t giving you the results you need? Why not take this opportunity to kick-start a life-changing second half.

As anyone knows who follows me here, or on Facebook or Instagram, I think speaking is probably one of the most overlooked and most successful strategies that entrepreneurs can use to grow their business. 

It has been the main strategy I have used to build a multiple six-figure business and achieve the globetrotting lifestyle I had always dreamed about.

And if you’re a speaker already, you’re probably thinking of how to use speaking to grow your business even further.

Well, what if you could book yourself on two more stages every month for the rest of the year?

What difference would it make to your business if you could do that? 

I say two, because I think two is really possible. That means that anyone who sets themselves on a mission to do this could easily book themselves on 12 more stages between now and January.

And if you are clear on how to make an offer, if you have a strong message and a good talk, you can easily get at least two clients from each of those stages, if you are speaking in places before your ideal clients.

For the moment, let’s get back to those new stages. I know that booking 12 stages might seem difficult, but I’d say that most of you have possibilities for at least four stages in the network you know now. If you’re in any way connected, if you’re attending events, if you have a local network of people, and if you went through all that, how many connections would be on that list?

I have a list of anywhere from 75 to 100. I work with a list like that at all times, but if you haven’t made one, I’d suggest you try it. But let’s say you don’t have that many. Say you have a list of 30 possibilities, and of that 30 you were able to get an opportunity from one in 10. 

I’d advise you to share the mission that you’re on with the people and places on this list, to reach as many people as you possibly can. Let people know, because people do want to support you but often they don’t know what that support could look like.

You’ll be getting more opportunities because you’re getting more direct introductions, and that means more chances of getting booked. If you’re starting with three or four stages, and working from there through your networks, and following new leads from those, 12 will not be far away.

It’s simple. It’s not easy; it takes some work. But it doesn’t need to be difficult. And what better work to do than share your mission right?

Then think of the returns. If you were on two new stages a month – live or virtual – for the rest of the year and bringing back two new clients each time, that’s 12 stages and 24 new clients. If you have a 10K offer, that’s 240,000 in new sales, whether dollars or euros, between now and the end of the year. Even if you have a 5K offer, we’re still talking about 120,000. That’s exciting isn’t it?

I think it’s important to visualise what this means for you personally as well, because it’s important to have a pay-off to focus on, something to look forward to that our success makes possible. 

Next month I’m heading to the Dominican Republic for a working holiday. I am already picturing myself on the beach, swimming in the ocean. I can feel the sun on my skin.

And I can’t wait for the two-day speaker training I’ll be attending there with one of the best speakers in the world. It will take my speaker skills to a whole new level as well as add revenue streams to my business.

That’s my pay-off. It’s always important to have some fun on the horizon. I love what I do, and I love what my work allows me to do. 

Even more than the money – and don’t get me wrong, the money is great – but more than that, I love to think about who you would be if you took on this challenge. I think that people who want this are destined to get on stage and they’re destined to live a life of impact and wealth and freedom.
