Nothing is impossible once you do it

Shelly, one of my amazing clients, said I was crazy a few months ago when I told her what was possible for her.

Last month I delivered a very special master class, Dial in your destiny with speaking: Five portals to break through to profits, clients, and freedom lifestyle.

I spoke not just about speaking, but storytelling. You don’t have to be an extraordinary speaker, but you do have to give your audience an experience they remember. They want to know you, they want you to be real with them. The best speakers leave their audiences feeling lots of emotions because of their ideas and stories. They leave their audiences wanting more and searching online for them and their content.

I also spoke about breaking through glass ceilings, helping and reaching more people and, of course, achieving the dream lifestyle we all want.

To do all that, we have to focus on what we really want.

Earlier this month I was in Valencia, Spain, for a client retreat – the first I held since Paris in 2019. It was an incredible few days with a great group of people who came from Florida, India, France, Germany, Spain, California and the UK. Beautiful hotel, cool city, awesome people.

I am so grateful for the lifestyle my business gives me and the people I’ve been able to help.

It’s always a pleasure to meet new people and reconnect with people, too. In Valencia, we dove deep into some game-changing life, business and lifestyle mapping and I hired a photographer so that my clients all had headshots to use in their own businesses. It’s special when you dream about doing something and then you get to make it happen with a valued friend and colleague.

The French poet Jean de la Fontaine said, “A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it.” 

I think of it this way: “Often, the ‘thing’ we want the most is what we don’t allow ourselves to have. Be that success, love, fulfilment, adventure or whatever your thing is – that’s what we are destined for.”

What do you feel destined for? 

And what are you doing about it? Because destiny is not something that comes to us. Destiny is something we have to seek out and embrace. 

Once I got clear on what I wanted to do, I believe I was able to succeed because, for me, it’s not just a business. It’s a destiny-driven business. In my mind, that’s a business that is designed to make a big impact, change people’s lives, and allow me to fulfil my own destiny.

Do you spend time thinking about the things you need to do and should do? I remember reading a line that stayed with me, something like, “If you can do it in five minutes, do it, or you will spend five hours thinking about doing it.”

It reminded me of the way we procrastinate in college, thinking about an essay for eight weeks and writing it in the last eight hours.  

It’s the same for most entrepreneurs. They know what they should be doing, but too often it gets pushed off to the end of the month – or worse. Maybe they never get it done.

I believe strongly that speaking is the most direct link between you and the impact you want to make and the destiny driven business you can build.

Many of you believe you are destined to reach more people, but maybe you’re avoiding it because it just feels too big. That’s why I’m here. That’s my mission these days.

I want to help people who want to create bigger dreams and fulfil their destiny to stop avoiding it and get on that road.
